Am an f-1 student and need a social security number and card.I have just done one semester and will be going to my 2nd semeter this fall,do i qualify to apply for a social security number and card. 2.How can my school help me in getting the SS number and card? 3.How long on the average does it take to receive my card if i filed in my suburban community of about 90,000 residence.?

My husband & I was granted 6 months B2 US visa (Sept 2007-March 2008, single entry) w/ annotation “Couple December planned 2 weeks stay in California. Does this mean we have to go there exactly in December and our back & forth ticket should exactly be for 15 days? We plan to go to US in Dec. 16 and be back to our country January 3, a total of 18 days. We chose that dates because plane tickets are cheaper than other dates. Will that be allowed by the US Immigration at the port of entry considering the annotation “2 weeks stay”?
