What is the US immigration process when a canadian private company wishes to start an operation in the USA?

My family is trying to start-up a small industrial operation in the US. Currently the company is incorporated in Canada, and I am wondering if anyone knows the procedures to follow in applying for Investor visas, business visas, do you have to incorporate in the US first, etc.
